A night nanny is a professional who provides overnight care for newborns and infants, allowing parents to get uninterrupted sleep while ensuring their baby's needs are met.
How do I know if I need a night nanny?
If you find yourself sleep-deprived or struggling with nighttime baby care, hiring a night nanny can help you rest and recharge while ensuring your baby is well cared for.
What is your cancellation policy?
Once we've confirmed the required nights and agreed on the rates, I kindly ask for a minimum of 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a shift. This allows me to manage my schedule effectively and offer availability to other families who may need support. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice will require full payment for the agreed hours.
What qualifications do night nannies have?
Night nannies typically have experience in newborn care, certifications in CPR and first aid, and training in infant sleep techniques to support both baby and parents effectively.
How many hours does a night nanny work?
Night nannies usually work overnight shifts, typically a minimum of 10 hours per night, with the option to increase depending on your family's needs and schedule.
Can a night nanny help with breastfeeding?
Yes, many night nannies assist with breastfeeding by helping position the baby, offering support, and ensuring the mother gets enough rest between feedings.
What are your rates, and how do I make payment?
Rates and payment methods are discussed and agreed upon during a phone or video consultation before any shifts begin. This ensures transparency and allows us to tailor the arrangement to your specific needs.
Is it possible for you to fix my baby's sleep issues in just one night?
While some improvements can often be seen after just one night of consistent changes, it's important to understand that every baby is different. Lasting sleep habits take time, patience, and consistency to build. My role is to assess your baby's sleep patterns, environment, and routines, then guide you through a personalized, step-by-step plan designed to create sustainable results.
How early can I choose a start date for the booking?
Babies don’t always arrive on their due dates, so I usually recommend choosing a start date that’s around 7 to 14 days after your expected due date. This gives us some flexibility in case your little one arrives a bit later than planned and helps avoid any additional fees, as outlined in my contract. You're also very welcome to book as early as you like—even during pregnancy—to secure your spot and have one less thing to worry about as you prepare for your new arrival.
